We had a fabulous vacation with my family in June at Gulf Shores, Alabama at the end of June. It was our first time to this beach and we all really enjoyed it. The drive was still very long, but once we arrived we were greeted by the beautiful ocean views and sound of the waves hitting the shore. There is just something about the beach that is reviving and soothing. While there we arranged for a photographer to come take our photos and got some wonderful pictures taken... it had been a very long time since we had professional pictures. We spent lots of time with our toes in the sand and soaking up the sunshine as well as enjoying some local shopping and dining. The tour of Fort Morgan was also super interesting and we all enjoyed it, especially dad. I think he could have talked to the expert tour guide for hours! And that guy really was an expert with all the facts and stories he shared! The kids especially enjoyed playing on the beach and building sand castles, floating in the ocean, collecting shells or looking for baby crabs! Finley was a trooper with it all and was so content the whole time and adjusted easily to the rollaway crib we rented. It all couldn't have gone any better. We have lots of happy memories of our week on the beach!
